12 Ways to Grow Your Business in 2013

When I first started to blog in 2005, I was new to everything in the online business world. I had run my consulting business exclusively on referrals for ten years, so I was eager to learn as much as I could about reaching an audience using online tools.

Honestly, it felt a big dream sprinkled with magic dust.  Where if I wrote enough blog posts for my 5 regular readers, that real, live, paying clients would come out of thin air and want to work with me.

<Yeah, right.>

Amazingly, clients started to show up. They paid for coaching, and attended online classes, and even showed up in person all across the country when I did my book tour in 2009.

Blogging has been a constant marketing activity, but I added many new techniques over the years.

I have learned most of my marketing skills with on the job training, experimenting with a lot of things myself, and watching clients test and try different strategies.

Like I have written about before, marketing is is a marathon, not a sprint.

It is a combination of clear vision, good strategy, and well-practiced tactics, executed on a day to day basis.

I think that you develop marketing and sales confidence the more that you develop competence. And you gain competence in a variety of ways like reading, classes, mentoring and lots and lots of testing.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 17 at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern I am hosting a free webinar where I share 12 ways to grow your business in 2013. These are all time-tested techniques that I have found to be really effective for getting clients.

Like I will mention live on the webinar, they work well with a strong marketing foundation, which includes:

  • A clear vision and purpose of your business
  • Your target market identified
  • Specific offers ready to sell
  • A marketing strategy
  • An action plan

At the end of the webinar, I will give a 5-minute overview of my year-long business mentoring program Power Boost Marketing. You are welcome to stay for it, or jump off the call to get on with your day. Registration for Power Boost Marketing ends Monday, January 21.

To participate in the free live webinar, register at this link: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/582095678?inf_contact_key=0ca402516390d73acf250e0519bc75fcde818c19fa171b1d4852c950246b6c3d

If you cannot attend live, we will make sure you get a copy of the webinar after the call.

I look forward to helping you get 2013 off to a great start.

You certainly said it right, it is a marathon. So many internet marketing products promote that overnight success. Unfortunately it hardly every happens that way. Thanks!
