Before I close up shop for the year, I had a tiny bit of advice for any awkward moments around the holidays. I hope they help. Feel free to write them on flash cards and pull them out at opportune moments.
You define your own success. Don’t worry about how others define theirs.
Laughing with your relatives is so much more enjoyable than debating them.
Life is messy. Beautiful, exquisite, perfect messiness. The root of all creation, and the foundation of all innovation is swirling chaos.
Never believe what you read in annual reports, advertising campaigns and family Christmas letters.
Love – for yourself, for others, for ills, pains and difficult spots – heals.
Have a wonderful holiday. Be good to yourself. You deserve it.

Sometimes this is difficult to remember. Thanks for the inspiration Pam!
This one made me chuckle: “Never believe what you read in annual reports, advertising campaigns and family Christmas letters.”
Happy Holidays Pam! Cheers to a great 2012!
Pam, thanks for reminding us about the good ol’ stuff we seem to forget these days. Sometimes, one should be careful what to wish for – and everyone makes sacrifices to get their dreams, at what cost..? Nothing still beats quality time with your loved ones and lucky are those who have achieved this work-life balance. I’d say I’ll be looking forward to 2012 with love, optimism and hope. Happy New Year! Keep on inspiring us all.
