The fabulous and enthusiastic crew from last week’s Escape from Cubicle Nation Workshop in London. Photo by the handsome and talented TMSRuge.
I communicate on Twitter so frequently that I just realized some blog readers may not know that my last live Escape from Cubicle Nation workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 4 at the Hotel Belamar in Southern California.Ā I will be joined by the fabulous and talented Colleen Wainwright, otherwise known as Communicatrix, who is an amazing resource for branding and social media.
This will be my last workshop of the year, and the last time I will be offering it in this format.
You can check out details here.
Anyone who has attended these workshops this summer in places like Sunnyvale, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, DC, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte or London, please chime in on the comments and let folks know what they will miss if they do something boring like go to work instead of mingling with the awesome folks who attend these workshops. š
I attended Pam’s conference in Chicago and it was well worth the time! I met some amazing people and the insight and thoughts presented really helped me filter out a lot of the noise coming at me and focus on the areas of my life I needed so I could point myself in the right direction.
Man-o-man do I wish I could be there. It sounds like a great place to create a foundation for my fledgling business. I’m not in a cubicle, but I’m still working for someone else. I have so many ideas that I am trying to hold myself back and work on them one at a time.
I’m also a big fan of Colleen. I bet she adds a lot to the workshop.
The Metro-Detroit area desperately needs your workshop Pam-please keep us in mind!
I want to tell you that since the workshop I have lost four pounds in weight, broke through the last blocks to actually launch my business properly and have met a fantastic group of people, but it would sound like a cheesy sales pitch.
It’s all true though, even the losing weight part and Pam doesn’t even sell that!
If you’re dithering about whether to go or not, stop it at once. Go! Be enthused, be lit up from the inside, be inspired.
Good luck with your final workshop, Pam!
Anyone considering to go, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pam is wonderfully funny, clear, direct and authentic. Not only, the people you will meet, that I have met, are some of the warmest and most interesting, supportive people you could ever meet. Pam truly attracts and surrounds herself with fabulous people.
Absolutely loved the book and, like the workshop, have got tremendous value from it already.
It was so great to have you there Rob!
I really don’t know the secret magic dust that pervades workshop sales pages, but you are so right, the most *amazing* people have showed up to workshops all year long. Los Angeles will not be any different! š
See you soon, I hope!
OK – full disclosure – I think Pam is awesome and always have.
When I went to her San Francisco workshop and met her in person for the first time there were plenty of ways I could have been disappointed, but non occurred. She is as genuinely warm and caring in person as she seems online.
Her presentation is structured and clear, but always allowed all of us there to insert our own particular situations and get real time help and feedback. One thing that really helps is that Pam seems to attract people who are similar to her in their generosity and authenticity, so attending her workshop even for one day meant getting to know some great people who are in various stages of their own escapes.
Well, I could go on and on but I have plenty of exciting work to do – partly thanks to Pam and her workshop. š I’ll just say – if you’re thinking about it – do it!
Oh – and I am just getting to know Communicatrix’s work better lately and am jealous that you will get to work with her, too.
Do it, dang it!
You know you are a brother from another mother Andy! It was beyond fabulous to meet you in person after reading your hilarious comments on my blog for years. The fact that you also got to meet Aunt Char (aka Miss Beadle from Little House on the Prairie) was icing on the cake.
To your success!
I have been a long time fan of Pam’s amazing work both during her workshop in London (that’s me second in on left) and through her mentoring me as a Martha Beck coach. Pam is truly one of the most authentic and honest people I know and delivers the most important information in the most concise manner.
Her London workshop and amazing book has helped me move forward in my own biz by giving me tons of resourse material, including the concept of surrounding myself with amazing people who can help motivate, inform, and keep me moving forward.
If you are having difficulty turning your passions and ideas into a business idea, this is the workshop for you. You will walk away with some amazing insights and ideas to propell you forward.

I love your niche Kelli — it is so important to provide support to Expats!
What a treat to work with you both in Martha Beck land AND in my workshop. Enjoy your masterminding with the other participants, I expect to see you as an expert on the BBC very soon!
When does this come to Asia?

Good question Fas!
I have been a little reticent to make the long trek to Asia right now simply because my kids are so small, and I don’t like to be gone for long stretches of time. But I have gotten a lot of interest from Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia, so who knows, maybe we can set up a tour leg there in 2010. Where are you?
I was one of the London attendees (that’s me in the stripy top) and had the best time ever! Pam is wonderful, so friendly, funny and enthusiastic about helping people succeed that I wish I could get to LA just to have the pleasure of being there all over again.
Best of luck, Pam, for your final workshop!
Caroline
It was so fun to meet you Caroline! I wish you could pop over to LA! Maybe next year? š
If you’re debating whether it will be right for you or not, hesitate no longer. I attended the Portland workshop a few months back. The value was absolutely there, and I enjoyed the workshop even more than I expected to. Pam is the real deal.

Mike, I am so glad you were able to attend the Portland session! That was so full of energy, and we were so lucky to have a bunch of “Square 4” entrepreneurs in attendance like Tim Berry, Matthew Scott, Chris Guillebeau and JD Roth.
I hope your plans are cruising along!
I completely agree with Charlotte. Pam is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and was definitely worth travelling to see. She genuinely wants to help people succeed with their own businesses.
And no, she did no pay me to say this (I wish!) š
Good luck with your final workshop, Pam.

We cannot wait to see where your journey takes you Glen! You have already done so much in your relatively few years on planet earth. Let’s hear it for 20-something entrepreneurs who kick us old fogies in the pants with energy and enthusiasm!
I attended the NYC workshop. Pam entirely rocks the universe, and gives a fantastic presentation with lots of super-useful information. There’s no reason to miss out on the opportunity to see her in person!

It was so fun having you at the workshop! And you were very humble in not mentioning the coverage you got in USA Today at the event. You are such a star!
