It seems like everywhere I look these days I see Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover fame. Tonight when I was watching the news, I saw his giant face splashed on a godzilla-sized mock up of the new T.V. Guide layout (which consequently will now be full magazine size – sounds like a New Coke move to me!) Then, a few minutes later, I saw him in an ad for his new line of furniture at Sears. It got me thinking:
Man, back when he was working his way through school as a carpenter, did he ever imagine he would get this big?
What was it inside of him that created the drive to explode on the scene?
Some of you may be annoyed with his hoarse-voiced screaming antics on Extreme Makeover, but you can’t help but admire how he has built an amazing brand in such a short time. It doesn’t hurt that he is hunky and chicks dig him, but I think there is a lot more to his business success than that. If you don’t have any idea who he is, here is his official site: Ty the handy guy
Maybe you can use some of his mojo to bust out your brand that is dying to come out!
