I just started contributing to a group blog started by Chris Brogan called Escape Velocity. In its own words:
Many pieces go into achieving escape velocity from situations that hold us in their grasp. Maybe you don’t like your job any more. Maybe you’d like to be home with the family more often, instead of slaving away extra hours for little pay. Maybe you’re unhappy with your fitness and health levels. The challenges you face are your own.
Escape Velocity is a project started by Chris Brogan of Human Business Works. It will serve as an education platform for helping people build skills in the following areas:
- Self-improvement – mind and body.
- Business – ways to improve your role, or ways to start additional streams of income.
- Money – how to make it; how to save it.
- Books – we read a lot.
- Reviews – alternative education products that we endorse.
- and more, as we develop.
Escape velocity is your chance to get help with some of the above. Watch for more on this as we grow.
I am excited to contribute to this site, along with great friends and great minds Carol Roth, Chris Brogan, Chris Garrett, Chris Guillebeau, Jonathan Fields, Julien Smith and Liz Strauss.
My first post is now live – click on the title to go read it! Whose permission are you waiting for to start your escape?
Happy weekend to you all!

And for local folks, I will be speaking at Laid Off Camp Phoenix tomorrow – if you know anyone looking for work in the Phoenix, Arizona area, send them to this totally free, high energy and supportive event.
Heard a lot of good reviews about escape velocity.
Will definitely check it out.
Thanks.
Your session at LOC on “What’s Your Side Hustle,” was informative and energizing! I’m putting a list of my “special ingredients” together to explore the many possibilities that await me! Thank you so much! p.s. I gave you my card with the “Success” perfume sample and wonder how you liked it!
It looks like an all star cast, thanks for posting -I’m looking forward to checking it out!

I’ll be reading the “how to save money” part with interest!
It’s really cool to see you be part of that group. I believe that the people there have great value to offer and it’s going to be a great hub to learn from. Cheers!
